Does Tennessee allow a medical exemption for window tint?
Yes. A person with a medical condition adversely affected by ultraviolet light submits a statement to the Commissioner of Safety from their physician certifying the condition requires a greater reduction of light. The department's medical review board evaluates it, and if the board finds the exemption warranted, the commissioner supplies a certificate or decal indicating the degree of exemption, which the applicant displays in the vehicle. The law sets no fee and no expiration date for the certificate or decal, and an applicant who is turned down may appeal.
What does legal tint cost in Tennessee?
